Monarch Metal Computer Desk : Looks more expensive than it cost

The desk is fine if you actually know how to assemble a desk. Everyone that complains about holes not lining up or assembly instructions are deceiving are people who need to either pay for assembly because they have no clue on how to use a screwdriver, or buy something pre-assembled. Saying it’s not designed right is simply an uneducated statement. The desk is fine if you actually know how to assemble a desk. Claiming you didn’t know it’s made of particle board that’s laminated is like saying you didn’t know cotton candy was made from sugar.

Nice design, heavy though on one side.

These look nice from far, but up close and during use are very cheap. They won’t last more than a few years or a couple moves.

Only issue, slightly higher 1/2″ then other monarch desk i placed this next to, so not level.

  • Looks more expensive than it cost
  • Clean Modern Perfect
  • Great little desk

Great clean modern look and great functionality. The instructions when it comes to putting the bottom drawer together had 8 and 9 going to the incorrect sides, but easy enough to figure out. If you’ve ever put together stuff in the past, you will be just fine. This desk offers a tremendous amount of work space and lots of storage. The drawers are bigger than i thought they would be.

No scratches or dents easy to put together.

It was just what was pictured. It fit where i wanted it go and i would recommend to anyone.

Desk is fine, description is bogus and intentionally deceptive. . The description is bogus, designed to blur what this desk is mostly made out of, the same particle board and cam garbage you see at target and walmart. “paneled” means a veneer over fake wood. If you’re fine with that, there’s nothing wrong with this desk. If you’re expecting a “metal desk,” look elsewhere.

Rock solid, modern styling, roomy desk. Rock solid, much better quality than i expected. Desk top is very thick, metal parts are good quality. Drawer handles are modern and very stylish. I love the roomy 60″ workspace over the more common 48″ desks. I can easily spread out a large project on it. This desk definitely upgrades the look of my office. I was also impressed by this seller having an outside layer of bubble wrap around the box to protect it from damage during shipping. I love this desk and would highly recommend it, as it exceeded my expectations in quality, durability and style.

Very nice, was as advertised. Smooth action on the drawers.

Exactly as described and a perfect fit for a no fuss, modern, clean and functional at home work station.

It was and i was very happy, but the damage was not too severe. When i received this package, there was some external damage to the packaging so i was certain that the product itself was damaged as well. As it turns out, it was and i was very happy, but the damage was not too severe. I’m just unsatisfied that the desk has a chipped part to it. However, despite the minor damage, the desk is aesthetically pleasing and it fits well with my theme that i had in mind at the time of purchase. The product came as i expected, so i was satisfied with the end result of the build. Also, during the process of the build, the instructions provided were very clear and simple. I had no trouble at all setting everything up. The product is very durable and i feel that i won’t be replacing this desk any time soon.

Arrived on time, well made and assembled great – much different than the matching desk. I would recommend this table, but read my review about the matching desk. I wrote a review on the desk and it never got published – it wasn’t negative except for the instructions, but not sure if it will get posted, so be aware of the desk that goes with this table.

Good desk but understand what your paying for. This is a decent desk for the price. I wasn’t going to post a review but some of the ones out there are so far off base that i wanted to clarify some things. Pros- price- fairly sturdy- large work space- shipping: well protected. Everything was padded by styrofoam and the box itself was encased with heavy bubble wrap. The same desk is being sold at a popular online furniture site for close to $700. Its marketed under a different name (not monarch) but is literally the same desk. They even use the same photos on that site as they do on amazon. Not sure why its ~$200 here and $700 there but i’m happy with it :)cons- the materials.

Read a lot of negative reviews on this desk, and i want to throw my 5-star perspective in the mix. In the photos, the desk has the optics of not appearing to be 60-inches, but it’s an illusion: the desk is that long, and very generously proportioned. 5-inch parsons deskthe desk arrived completly wrapped in bubbles/plastic on the outside of the box to protect it; the company may have very well received feedback about doa desks—there was absolutely no shipping damage whatsoever on my unit. Additionally, they pack it very well, and there isn’t an excess of material: i simply unboxed, laid the pieces in order, and went about my work setting it up. But:• i own a drill• am technically-minded• also ambedexteriois so constructing (furniture) puzzles like this come more easily as a single-individualit’s heavy, and i was a bit sore after getting everything together and hauling stuff around. The instructions are mostly in –french– but the illustrations are extremely helpful.

Looks more expensive than it cost. This table really brought my office together. Took about 20 minutes to assemble, instructions were clear.
