I like to live with a product for a while before i review it, especially things that are a bit more complex. I’ve had this set of legs built into a desk for several months now, and i love them. I was impressed at the build quality, and i am really very picky about such things. Everything was solid, heavy-gauge metal, with quality joints. Despite what a few reviewers here said, i had no problem with screws aligning with their holes. I even took apart the motor compartments to check the innards, and they are rather robust with a good quality grease. The electronics box is also well-made and safely designed. I ended up making a table top out of three of the cheapest pine 1×8 boards from home depot, biscuit-joined at the edges, routed to break the corners, aged with an iron acetate solution, and varnished. For what i considered to be a quick and temporary top, it turned out gorgeous.
Solid, quiet, quick actually affordable. I’ve got at least 60 lbs of gear on a heavy desktop, and its fluid. In my companies office they have the uplift desks i think, and they sound like a tank. I can adjust this one on a conference call and its not a huge distraction (though muting is still preferred. 8-12 seconds from all the way down to all the way up. Average of 6-7 for me between sit/stand. My 9yr old and i put it together pretty easily.
Product is as described and does what was expected. Was concerned when the box arrived, it was not in the best of shape, but upon opening there were no bent or broken parts. Assembly and installation did require 2 people. I used an existing desk that is 3. 5′ x6′ disconnected it from the sides and front fastened it to the new frame and it works perfect. When it’s down in the sting position it looks like the original desk. When raised to a comfortable height for me (i am 6’2″) it is slightly wobbly but doesn’t seem to bad. Overall it’s what it says it is it does what it’s supposed to do and so far i’m more than pleased with it.
Better than expected, with caveats. . Not sure about the 220lb rating. Several times my desk has stopped and dropped back. I haven’t weighed my desk, but i don’t think it’s 220lbs. Also, there’s a quirk in the control panel where it gets stuck. You have to hold the m button for a couple seconds to unstick it. The document mentions that, but it seems to happen much faster than the documented timeout. Overall, it does what it says it does and is much more solid than it looks in the picture. I bring my desk to 47 inches and there’s still no wiggle. This was the third desk riser i bought and the only one that i will not need to return.

Excellent frame, easy assembly. . I am very happy with this desk frame. The parts come disassembled “just enough” to make the product capable of fitting in the box. I ended up getting a solid desktop at ikea for under $100. I had a support issue with the desk because i did not thoroughly read the user manual and turnaround time was instantaneous from the vivo team which was great. The issue: when the control panel goes to sleep, reactivating it requires holding the m key down for 3 seconds. I can’t see a reason to order something similar from other vendors for hundreds of dollars more. I’d only add that the picture show the cable drooping a bit – this is easy to remedy either with zip ties or pushing the extra length of cable under the panel box you can see towards the middle right of the picture.
I just received my desk yesterday. Set up was very easy and the product came with a minimum of packaging which was nice for a change. The motors are very quiet and the up and down motion is quite smooth. I use two monitors as well as a number of other computer components so it’s carrying a pretty good load. I reused the top from my old desk and it fit great since the desk frame is fully adjustable. I used the desk today and was up and down many times, it has a nice timer feature to remind you to change positions. I can’t speak for the longevity of the product since i just got it but so far it was well worth the price.
So far so good, and excellent customer service. Easy to assemble, although i found it easier to center the frame on the desktop while the desktop was on the ground (and the frame is upside down). I was able to mark and start the holes for the screws while in that position, then turn everything right side up and then attach the screws. Also, the package arrived without screws (there was a hole in the box, they may have fallen out in transit). Vivo was very responsive and i received replacement screws in less than 72 hours from when i emailed them.
I had a small space to install a standing desk. This, along with a solid bamboo desk top from ikea (cut to size) allowed me to fit in this small space and i saved about $300 over similar standing desks that would have been a challenge to make fit in the space i have.
I work from home and sit on conference. I work from home and sit on conference calls all day long. I purchased this based on reviews and am extremely pleased. Assembly was easy, i put a 36″ x 80″ hollow core door on it, have 3 monitors, and roll top desk top and cubbies. Was concerned about weight limit but had not had any issues. I recommend this product to everyone i talk to that works from home.
I assembled the desk on a thursday and by monday, it was completely dead. Turned out the power supply unit was bad. Contacted customer service and they shipped me a new unit via 1 day shipping. I was back up and running by wednesday. Only complaint i have is that screw holes didn’t line up during installation. I tried switch legs and everything. Some screws i could never get in. All in all though it’s been a few months since the power issue and things are still working.
This product was a big surprise for me. The amount of heft of this product is crazy. The legs and motors are massive, gives me no concerns on if it’s capable to handle the task. All the holes for the screws were clean and everything threaded in easily. I did have to loosen the end caps to get the legs on, but was a minor issue.
Positives:- arrived on time, despite shipping the day before it arrived. – quiet motors (yes; they may noise, but it’s not very loud)- stable base. I saw a youtube review done by a competitor company of the desk that made the wobble look atrocious at high settings. This has not been my experience in the slightest. – easy to adjust for varying table top sizes. – comes with cable management tray, three cable managing c-shaped, stick-on hooks. – finish on most parts was pretty good. Negatives:- adjustable middle base was really screwed down when i got it; the bars that go from one leg to the other leg were indented with a very small amount of paint missing from where they machine screw had been bolted into the metal.
Press and hold “m” to wake up and adjust height. . I’m very happy with my new adjustable desk. Thank you to another reviewer who listed the tip about a long press on the “m” key to remove the “—-“ setting so you can adjust the desk. I change the desk height 3 or 4 times during my work day. I suggest an active standing mat be used to keep changing your standing position.
I liked the thought that went into the design, assembly process and more. Operations: minor nit picks about having to wake the controller before adjusting the height. It works fine, but would prefer it jumping to my touch (i can see why the sleep mode may be important to keep accidental panel touches from activating the lifters, but i think a one-touch with a shorter delay would be better – i. Press and hold a preset for one second). Stability: a little wobbly for my taste. My desktop is a 3/4″ oak panel.
The standby mode had much stumped, but it was cleared up in the directions. We use the table several times a day, and it works flawlessly. Note – it did not come with castors, and the table is metric not inch – so we weren’t able to fit castors easily onto it, but we did buy 4 6″ tri dollys and they work beautifully. I love that the table is adjustable for any height you want with the push of a button, but i also like that we were able to put whatever table-top we wanted to on it. Great for a work-bench for someone who isn’t hammering away. Also handles weight like a champ.
Nice solution for a standing desk. Having multiple memory settings is so handy and the overall build and function seems sturdy and assembly was easy. Make sure you have help with the box, it’s very heavy.
I mounted a sheet of three/4 finish maple plywood and it seems attractive. I experienced a little issue how to work the system and i discovered a wonderful customer company.
The motor is rapidly & silent, and the design and style by itself makes for an exceptionally steady desk at any height (a lot much more so than the earlier setup i experienced which experienced four legs hooked up to the desktop). Additional this to an ikea countertop. To begin with, i wasn’t absolutely sure how a lot i would make adjustments, but i obtain my self increasing and decreasing the desk at a number of factors for each working day. Lower back again and head pressure has been lowered as a outcome.
after paying out two months investigating about standing desks i finally resolved to go with the vivo dual motor base and acquire my possess desk best. I feel i made the best choicethe box is large. I’m a major guy and are living on a third flooring apartment and getting it up was not simple.I did not have anybody to aid me at the instant. Assembling the base was pretty easy and straightforward it is in fact easier than i was expecting it to bei acquired an ikea countertop (karlby, walnut 74” vast) to use as my table major. It weighs 70 lbs, i sanded it and applied danish oil to it to get a nicer finish, i really like the last end result it seems to be incredibly superior endmy computer situation is a coolermaster graphite 780t, it’s a comprehensive tower scenario and with all the parts it weighs about forty pounds. I have a 32inch asus pb328q that also weighs about twenty five pounds. The base has no trouble at all with this excess weight and goes up and down with no hiccupsi really like the manage panel, make confident to just take of the protective movie, i have noticed critiques of men and women declaring that it seems to be made use of or scratched and really do not comprehend that it has a protective filmi like that the desk “locks itself” and you have to “unlock it” ahead of making use of, my two-calendar year-aged daughter has experimented with to perform with the buttons and the desk does not respond to her pressing the panel. I’m 6’4” and i use the desk at 117cm when standing and it goes up to 123cm, so i’m guessing that it will be okay for persons up to 6’6” close to, the table is super continuous when standing, i guess the weighty table major and every thing i have on leading allows with the security.
Applying this with a weighty butcher block best. It raises and lowers good but sounds like it truly is having difficulties a very little. Effortless to place together but needed my own wood screws.
This frame is definitely 1st class – solidly crafted and quite stable. I put in it underneath a mission style desk where it sits quite discreetly when in the lower situation. Hit the preset to 110 and voila’ i have a wonderful stand up deski’ve only been utilizing it for a several days, so i can not discuss to it is really longevity, but from an preliminary build standpoint, simplicity of assembly, and usability – it is first class.
We applied a corner desktop and ended up concerned it may not healthy. It in shape fantastically, and i am completely enjoying it. The frame is strong and was quick to assemble. Browse the handbook instead of hoping to determine out programming it on your very own.
